…at least a provisional way to settle in one place

The exhibition ….at least a provisional way to settle somewhere is the result of the Komisario Berriak (New Curators) programme, an initiative by DSS2016EU in collaboration with Azkuna Zentroa (Bilbao), Tabakalera (Donostia), Artium and Montehermoso (Vitoria) supporting the development of new curators. Throughout 2016,
the programme has included three workshops taking place in each of these cities. Using a
laboratory format, these curatorial workshops conclude with an exhibition that takes places at two moments and at two locations: December- January in Azkuna Zentroa and January- February 2017 in Montehermoso. The project took as the starting point the paradigm that associates the function of the curator with that of the translator and has led to the ‘garden’ as a poetic and organisational figure.
